I've been getting TapeOp for a while now - get a free print copy since I am involved with pro audio. Good reading - although it could be thought of as the "audiophile" version of pro audio. Sound on Sound is another good mag - but its $40 a year - no freebies.

Yeah, I also like the UK magazine RESOLUTION, but the asking price is ridiculous.

I get tapeop, stereophile, audio eXpress, acoustic guitar magazine(not guitar world acoustic which is inferior), fretboard journal, rolling stone, discover, mixmag and eq.

Yes, it does sound quite good, though for my playing style I much prefer the Jumbo shape. Ive got a couple Gibson Jumbos (j200, j185 ) but *my* baby is my Santa Cruz Vintage Jumbo which ive had custom built for me with all-black finish, Tusq bridge pins and nut, and a bit wider neck. I am not a finger stylist or a lead guy.. I basically play to accompany myself and beat the hell out of the guitar so I have different needs than Donnie.

(my style is more Johnny Cash/Split Lip Rayfield than Bill Fay or Richard Thompson )
