An Afternoon With Audio Research and McIntosh in Maryland, Next Saturday

Bethesda, MD retailer JS Audio (4919 St. Elmo Avenue) is having an open house Saturday November 22, 12pm–4pm to debut the new Audio Research Galileo Series amplifier and preamplifier with the Wilson Audio Alexandria XLF loudspeakers!

Audio Research's National Sales Manager Dave Gordon, joined by the Fine Sounds Group's David Stafford, will be introducing the new ARC Galileo Series, while McIntosh's Chris Smith and Michael Russo will discuss the past and future of McIntosh Labs, and will be demming the MC-275 tube mono amplifiers and C-2500 tube preamplifier with Wilson Audio Sasha Series II speakers.

Parking in the garage is free on Saturdays, and there will be additional parking is Available at Bethesda Elementary School, located at 7600 Arlington Road in Bethesda directly across Old Georgetown Road from St. Elmo Avenue, two blocks from JS Audio.

This is a show palace for high-end Audio. I wish I could attend.
For those going to this event, post your thoughts & impressions for the rest of us.

I have listened to Wilson speakers & Mac gear, but never together.
If Transparent cables/cords are used it should be an excellent day!

No Transparent at the store, so doubt we'll see it in use at the event. Joe usually shows with Nordost, Cardas, or Shunyata. I use Shunyata at home in my own rig and love it.

I went to this event last year. Heard ARC Ref CD9, ARC Ref 10 preamp, ARC Ref 250 monoblocks, with Alexia speakers by Wilson. It was a stunning demo, one of the most memorable I've heard in the store. Joe's new remodeling is astonishing too - the XLF is simply amazing. Sounds like the orchestra is right there.
