It is when you read accounts of events like this it becomes clear how unfortunate it is that sound recording is such a relative new technology. To be able to hear any of the greatest composers actually play would be truly amazing. It should make us appreciate what John Marks set up in hearing the Kind Of Blue master tapes. Some things are priceless.
