A Little Camera

JA uses a little camera to monitor the rotation of the speaker on the platter. The platter turns at five degree intervals while JA measures impulse response. For a larger view, visit our Gallery.

Now that is really cool. John, there's an opportunity here to combine a methodology known as Design of Experiments to optimize placement and response in a room, particularly if there are interactions between rotation, wall distance, height, which I expect there are. The input factors could be toe-in, height, placement from walls, etc, and the reponse would be the frequency response, waterfall spectrum, etc. This could easily be done with a statistical package like JMP.
