An Entry Never Posted

Way, way up on the Venetian Tower's 35th floor, I chatted for a bit with Ayre's Brent Hefley about the traffic at this year's show.

While, for members of the press, getting from one show location to the next has been an exercise in patience and planning — one that involves tracking down mysterious shuttle buses, squeezing onto crowded elevators, and long, long walks through smoking, blinking, buzzing casinos — for exhibitors, things have been good.

"We've got a great location," said Brent. "We're up here on the 35th floor, but no one's had a hard time finding us. Plus, there are only five exhibitors on this floor, so we're not dealing with a lot of outside noise. There is a bit of a filter, being so high up — we're not getting hit hard by big crowds all at once — but everyone we've wanted to see has arrived."
