ASL Group (formerly known as Audiophile Systems Ltd.) announced December 19 that it had acquired Naim North America, the US distributor of Naim Audio and NaimNet, a deal that strengthens both ASL and Naim NA. Naim Audio's CEO Paul Stephenson said, "It's like going home, since we originally were distributed by Audiophile Systems when we first moved into the US."

All key US Naim employees will become ASL employees and Chris Koster and Chris West continue to handle sales and general support issues. Dave Dever and Pat Flanagan will still administer technical support and service and will relocate to ASL group headquarters in Indianapolis. Logistics—including billing, shipping, service, and all other administrative matters—will move to Indianapolis be and absorbed by the ASL Group in 2009.

NaimNet, Naim’s distributed-audio solution, based on the NetStreams^TM IP-connected platform, delivers multi-room audio, integrating with lighting, HVAC, security systems, and video with NetStreams' built-in DigiLinX^TM interface. Stephenson said, "The Naim USA and NaimNet USA teams combined with the greater resources of ASL is a dream combination. Both have customer service and support as a primary objective so the fit with Naim is perfect."
