Terry Cain Needs Audiophile Aid

Dedicated audiophile and all-around nice chap Bill Leebens sent along an email a few days ago, noting:
"Stereophile friends:

"I appreciated the support you all gave the Audio Asylum/Audiogon Tsunami auction. I'd like to bring another worthwhile cause to your attention.

"Terry Cain, of Cain & Cain loudspeakers and all-around good guy, is seriously ill with ALS—Lou Gehrig's disease.

"Terry's cousin Kathy Gee has set up a special account for Terry's continuing medical care, and Srajan Ebaen of 6Moons.com has been kind enough to put up a page where individuals, dealers, importers, and manufacturers may post equipment for sale, with proceeds going to the fund. Of course, direct contributions to the fund are encouraged, as well.

"Terry's friend Stephen Harrell is spearheading the drive.

"So far, $10,000 has been received in the account. It's estimated that Terry's care may cost $250,000 per year."

According to John Atkinson, Terry Cain is a member of that dedicated coterie that tries to wrest high-end, high-sensitivity sound from horns and Lowthers. In Terry's case, the fruits of his efforts are graced by superb woodworking. Interested donors can also contribute via Fundable, an organization that believes in group action.
