I just read that section today and a lot of stuff I thought was on there from last time is gone without explanation...For example, didn't you folk list a Primaluna integrated amp last time? I could well be wrong as I cannot find my copy...
No Maggies? sacrilege...
No Primaluna integrated is listed in the October 2008 RC.
(I'm pretty sure that the recent TAS listed one as an "Editor's Choice"...perhaps you had that in the back of your mind...)
Distinctly possible...
The PrimaLuna ProLogue One integrated amplifier was deleted from our "Recommended Components" list with the October 2008 issue. It had been too long of a time since we'd last listened to it to be sure of a proper rating. (This is noted on page 103, October 2008.)
The last Magnepan loudspeakers on our list -- the MMG, MC1, and CC3 -- were all deleted in April 2008, also because it had been too long a time since we'd last auditioned them. (Page 113, April 2008.)
No Paradigm Studio 100 speakers on the list either? Great speakers for little cost
We deleted the Paradigm because the version we reviewed was replaced by a very different speaker in the spring of 2008. Kal Rubinson is currently auditioning the new version of the Studio 60 for a review to be published in the summer.

Yes, two earlier versions received rave reviews, one from Bob Deutsch and one from JA.
