Well, for me $250 for True Audio, just like Hear everything, its worth to buy.
in my opinion, there is a price you have to pay if you want to enjoy the best sound quality

I hope it’s better than the ASUS Xonar Essence! I have two of these soundcards, one for my husband’s computer, one for mine. It replaced a perfectly good Sound Blaster I had moved up to each of my new computer builds. Bad move, as the ASUS didn’t sound good to my ears and it crapped out on me over and over. I’ve twice sent it to ASUS only to be told nothing was wrong. I’ve had techs to my house three times to get it going again. Now it’s down again. My husband’s has worked flawlessly for five years. Must be something about my motherboard. But I’ll look into the EVGA one.

But, frankly, while a recommendation for an internal audio card is convenient, is it the way to go for the best audio? I regularly read that for the best audio you want external equipment. I’m in the market for a change. Would love to have some advice to that point.

I have a dual boot Windows 10/Windows 7 computer with Intel Core i7 motherboard. Sitting next to my computer is an Audiomat Arpege tube amp and Spendor S3/5 Monitor Speakers. It makes for very sweet audiophile quality sound and I’m looking for the right interface to my computer to make it sing its best. I’m into classical music and opera.
