We used to have a guy on this forum from Greece who was so smitten by Amused to Death that he had decided that he just had to have it on vinyl. This is a pretty pricey piece of vinyl, even by audio nerd standards. And they aren't very easy to find in the first place.

Well, we became pretty decent online buddies on here and one day he PMs me and asks if I would bid on the ebay auction offering this record because the seller refused to ship overseas. When I asked him what his maximum bid was going to be, he made it clear that it was whatever was necessary to win the auction. Well, if I remember correctly, I think it took a little over $220 to win the auction and everything worked out fine.

I never got to hear the album, though I had it in my hot little hands for a few days and recall thinking to myself, "I kinda hope he changes his mind."
