DSD and Hi-Res………………….where and how do you get your files to stream or download SUCCESSFULLY being the key word.
I have Tidal and Qobuz and still cannot see where these high end files actually play?

On Qobuz high-res files are easy to identify because the album cover will have a high res logo on it. You can pull them out quickly (if high res versions are available) by ticking the High Res box in the advanced search options that come up when you do a search for a piece of music.
I don't think DSD files (as opposed to PCM files, which is the digital encoding type used for all other digital audio) are available to stream anywhere. I buy my DSD files from
https://www.nativedsd.com
https://www.highdeftapetransfers.ca
You need a DAC that can handle DSD encoding and a suitable player ( I use Roon - a subscription, unfortunately). Why do I go to the trouble? DSD is the best! Just having a few albums reminds me of what music is supposed to sound like (well, almost).
Thanks, this is helpful. My Aperio (which i just acquired) is supposed to handle DSD files natively which is why I am on the hunt for the quality they are as you mention
Let me add (although mostly for Classical):

Thanks, I did sub to Nativedsd as recommended. My Aperio does play the DSD files with no issue or fuss. And yes it is worth the xtra effort for how good these things sound. So many small record labels producing them. Too bad some more main stream artists cant get this quality recording available
