What's the oddest name you've seen on a piece of audio equipment?

Remember the Ampzilla? Are there stranger audio product names out there? What are they?

Charlie the Tuner was clever.

Stranger? I don't know, but my vote goes to Adcom for their longtime use of the acronym GFA. I won't spell it out for you.

Moth Audio. Looks strange, too.

Here's a recent product: How about Theta's Dreadnaught amp, or maybe their Miles transport? Not trying to knock Theta, I own one of their DAs meself!

I own a set of KeVeK ES-8s, a name chosen because the maker thought the symmetry made it look cool. Thankfully, for him, they sound better than the name.

Anything by Linn. The Sondek? With the Lingo Trampolin Arkiv power-supply upgrade? How about Mpingo discs? What's up with that? New York Audio Labs used to make an amplifier they called the "Black Hole," presumably because that's where your money went. How about the Kuzma Stogi? Not a lot of sex appeal there. I used to have a Black Widow tonearm. Very cool. The Rack of Gibraltar is another great one.

Charlie the Tuner by Sumo, the same folks who brought you Ampzilla. I have one of these tuners, it no longer works but when it did it sounded great.

Anything from Linn of the UK. They have this fetish for ending product names with a K -- Itok, Sondek, and so on.

I have a Son of Ampzilla. Honest. Bought in 1978 and it still works, though the lights for the power meters never have for more than a month at a time.
