Hello to all you audio lovers.

Last year, I moved back to the US. I shipped all my UK kit/gear/equipment with me. I'm trying to see what the best path is to use the kit in a 110-120v 60Hz world. I have read that a step up/down voltage transformer could be used, but that it will eventually damage the equipment? I am willing to add a 240v outlet - but what can I do about the Hz? Could I then use a transformer for that?

Sorry for the odd question, but I'm trying to listen to my CDs and albums - without spending thousands of US dollars.

If anyone has ever dealt with this, please let me know.
