Surround and audio set up equipment selection help?.

Hello,

Looking to set up equipment for 12x20 room for movies and music. If I get a receiver do I also have to get an amplifier. Would the sound be very different. Looking at Klisph RP-8000F speakers 150/600 watts. Is this to much for the room.

No. AVRs include amplification.

Not really, especially with efficient speakers like the Klipsch.
