Was there a review of this event by Mikey?
"After the speaker surrounds seperated from their frames and the smoke from the amplifier filled the room, I noticed a much more spacious sound stage with an improved localization of the performers. I'm sure that this improvement was due to the additional burn in time on the equipment."
I think it was Talking Heads' Stop Making Sense CD, but yes, it was an all-Mission system. The review appeared in Vol.10 No.7, August 1987.

IIRC, earlier in the review..you had mentioned Kraftwerk's 'Electric Cafe'. Something about the bass quality.
So it was David's terrific live album that spelled doom? That is a quite decent sounding, but mostly fun album. I've got it in my car right now. I'm trying to figure out how to have David's line: "Psycho Killer, qu'est que c'est?" on my phone as a ring tone.
20 years ago? Holy crap, I'm getting old. I'd already been a rabid audio guy for a long time, by that date.
