Yes, the man behind this venture is Peter Lyngdorf, who used to own TacT and, many years ago, was also involved in Snell and NAD. The Steinway system is not just speakers but also includes a digital front-end and full digital equalization and correction and crossovers. It is very much a "set-and-forget" system, aimed at rich music-lovers who do not want a relationship with their audio gear.
I auditioned a Steinway-Lyngdorf system a couple of weeks back in a sub-optimal room and it managed to sound superb.
