Hi, There are many different ones to choose from in the professional line of equipment. Many of them are very affordable and perform very well. I'm currently playing with the Wharfedale 8.1 & 8.2 Pro Active speakers. These (8.2's) sound very close to the active Quad 12L's (to these ears anyways). I'm also playing with a pair of Alesis DSP820 active speakers. These sound excellent, and can be made to mimick several different kinds of speakers through their DSP controls. They are very good in the nearfield & midfield, whereas the Wharfedale's seem better in the nearfield. Let me know if you have any questions about these. Bob
I'm actually looking for something more substantial, say around $10,000 to $20,000.
What I am really looking for in that price range is a company that supplies the active crossover and speaker but not the amplification. I want to be able to supply my own amplification.
Hi, Those were just two examples I was playing with. You should find some interesting information and products that are more in line with the price you're looking to pay at this site:

PMC makes a wide range of great sounding speakers, with both active and passive crossovers. Check it out. Bob
