Man, that is super cool. About how much did this set you back?
$4,107
But once Furutech gets their hands on it, probably ten times that.
If you're tracking a record via a laser, doesn't that in fact make it a digital hybrid? I assume the laser tracks the grooves and then some kind of a digital converter converts the laser data into physical vibrations. Am I wrong in my assumptions?
Hi Alex,
I would think it might be possible to merely measure the light reflection variations of the modulated grooves and extract the signal, thus no digital at all.
Buddha, cut the crap will ya !
Didn't Thomas Tusser do a write up on this technology?
Wouldn't the measurements have to be digitized and the resulting data translated into physical vibrations thus back to analog?
Makes me dizzy looking at them horrible photos of bluuuuuur and out of focus, I think your eyes are as bad as your hearing!!!! Cameras do have a thing called focus ya know.
Yes, it was a classic!
As I recall, he concluded with the most succinct 8 word summary of Hi Fi I've ever read.
Thnaks for bringing him up!
Buddha, $4,107...hmmmmmmm....hmmmmmmmmmmmm...very very interesting..
And you posted this when?
Tee hee!
