I am a big skeptic with most things audiophilia, but being a sound recording/mastering engineer, I have always used power conditioning products. I have had several over the years, but in all my experiences, none have hit me quite as hard as Richard Gray's.
It started at home when Duke Lejeune(a true gentleman, saint, and builder of my Jazz Modules(amazing themselves)
reccomended the RGPC Model 400 for one of my 2 channel "home"system(Master Sound Due Trenta/Jazz Modules/DAD Converters/Analysis Plus Cabling)... It was as if someone sucked all the noise out of the room with a vaccum.. tv resolution became better.. just amazing..
So, thinking that I was experiencing some sort of psychosomatic delusion, I took them to my studio. In our studio We have a B room with a modified soundcraft "ghost" console that is quite good(our A room has a new Neotek ELAN >>>RADAR V/Nyquist and Genex 9048) , aside from the fact that it gets a bit noisy when the faders are pinged... .. I was expecting to not hear any difference, but again, once the console, monitors, and recording gear was plugged in to the module, the noise was gone.. even with all the faders all the way up, all the outboard pegged...black background. it was a real "what the hell" moment for the two of us engineers(me and my co owner, who, by his own admission, knows nothing academically about sound reproduction..hes one of those old school analogue recording guys(we still use his MCI 16 track deck that hes owned since it came out!). never heard anything so hit you in the face different.. It was as if we went from listening with burlap sacks over our heads to listening with them removed.
ive been through a lot of products.. shunyata, ps audio, countless others.. but RGPC .. the real deal.
at 2400 bucks for my home and studio.. it was a steal. wiped the floor with everything else ive used(I admit that prior to my owning RGPC products, I had never heard any sonic differences with power conditioning products in the path..just sorta bought them because I was supposed to), and yes the difference was enormous, and easily measured.
it was sort of funny, but when my wife came in in the midst of my home revelation... I bombarded her with questions in an attempt to find out what settings she activated on the TV remote to improve the picture so!)

JA needs to be all over this. I dont know what they do differently, but man, it is all sorts of right...
Again, I am a skeptic... this has been a real eye opening experience.
