A wonderful report! A great read.
It's a delight to hear how pleased you are; this is what it is all about.
Happy listening!
Thanks, Elk! I couldn't be happier.
I'm delighted for you, Erik. Yes, the big jumps in sound quality are always the most exciting. Your rhapsodizing reminded me of the day I brought home my current speakers - that nervous period when you wonder whether the sound you heard in the demo room will be as good here, followed by the joy when it's even better. I've made other upgrades since then which have kicked the sound up additional notches, but they all followed extended in-home auditions and wound up being far less vivid in my memory. My guess is that this move to the Brio will linger with you for some time - and rightly so.
I'm betting that you'll be a little less active here for a while - just soakin' up the music.
Thanks for sharing your fun with us.
This is so wonderful, Erik. Congrats!
To our hobby,
Congratulations and many many countless hours of listening pleasure.
Erik B,
That is fantastic! Let me ask you this: what are your thoughts on using the Rega Brio 3 in a very modest set up - Rega P1 turntable and Epos 3 loudspeakers? It would be primarily used for listening to vinyl in my small home office. Too much amp for such a small setup?
Thanks in advance.
Hi, Chris! I've listened to the P1 quite a bit and it really sings through the Brio. I hope to have a P2 or P3 by the end of the year, but the P1 is no slouch, and neither is the phono pre in the Rega.
I don't think it would be too much amp at all. Your other gear should prove to be very complementary.
I recommend the Brio3 highly. After hearing its direct competitors from Marantz and Rotel, as well as the NAD 325, the Rega set itself apart and really won me over. I hope it does the same for you!
Best regards,
Erik
