Replacing a dead Luxman TT w/ Vacuum Drive from 1981. :(

Hello, I can't find a replacement motor for my Luxman PD-375, so I have to replace it.

I've been pretty pleased with my choices for the past decade and more, and haven't really upgraded anything in a long time, except going to anti-cables. I think that I have an excellent sounding system, without the big bucks. I have retired, and am living mostly on SSI, so my income is limited, and I can't buy/try and sell nearly as conveniently, as I could before. I listen to a mix of music from Classical to Classic Rock and Jazz.

So, I'm looking at a budget of $500, without cartridge. Unfortunately, there aren't any dealers within 50 miles or so. I've been looking at both New and Used online, as a result. Unfortunately, my Crystal Ball doesn't help. Any thoughts would be welcome.

Thank you.

Turntable

I would strongly recommend that you get the Music Hall MMF-2.3 turntable, which is $499 from Needle Doctor.

It is a very good turntable that comes with a decent cartridge and dust cover, and is pretty much plug and play.

Thank you, for your Response.

Thank you, for your Response. I'm sorry that I haven't responded before. I've read that the Music Hall and Pro-Ject turntables are very similar. The dust cover on the MMF 2.3, seems to be something not available for many.
