Probably nothing you can really do about it- don't adjust the 'table to try and ride over it with extra weight or anything. You could try and get surgical and get a jewelers loop and very sharp X-acto blade and sort of re-cut the bad spot. This may make things worse however so I leave that to you're own assessment.
If it's somehting you really love, maybe get another copy? Perhaps it's even available new online?
If you have a relatively sturdy cartridge, or one you don't care about, you could back-cue through the skip. With the turntable off (not spinning) place the stylus just past the skip, then rotate the turntable backwards by hand, through the skip. I have done this before with success, but you may risk damage to the cartridge.
