Welcome Rob!
I think you'll like it here!
Do you subscribe to the mag? If not,I highly recommend it(no I don't work for Stereophile lol)!
I can relate to what you said about Rock music. It doesn't interest me much anymore. Maybe it's maturity, I don't know.
In any case may I recommend buying the "Editor's Choice" cd from this site? It's a sampler of music recorded by John Atkinson (aka JA)the editor of Stereophile magazine. I bought it a few months ago & I like it more each time I listen to it! John uses a fairly "minimalist"(sp?) approach when recording. There are other cds of his there as well.
Also, check out Chesky Records for high quality recordings.
Also, I just bought 2 samplers from Music Direct. One was Blue Grass the other was a 30th anniversary sampler from Reference Recordings(classical). Both high quality recordings.
Ok, I'll stop rambling! Again, welcome! Larry
Thanks Larry, I definitely plan on subcribing to the magazine and will try the Eitor's Choice CD. Thanks for the tip on Chesky Records, will Google them now and see what they have.
Thanks again,
Rob
