Who told you those were remixes from digital sources? Most of the LPs that I buy from AcousticSounds are from analog master tapes. Of course, if the original master was digital, then you'll get a disc made from the two-channel DSD master, if made recently. 5.6Mhz, 1-bit DSD masters are incredibly revealing and very worthy of vinyl release.
Finding good used vinyl is tough. I've been buying new since 1957 so all my disks sound good, in general. (Decades ago we had to worry about poor pressings). Finding a great used LP for $1 means looking at hundreds.
AcousticSounds carries lots great sounding LPs, the question is are you willing to pay for it when the good ones are more than SACDs. If I can buy 180 gram, 45 rpm or anything by Analogue Productions, I'll do it, instead of the SACD. CDs are my last choice.
Don't spend more on you analog setup until you're happy with LP sources. When you find yourself happy with you LPs, then look at upgrading the system. A better system is not going to make bad LPs sound find.
Don't buy a record cleaning machine until you tried a good manual system like Disc Doctor. I find that's all I need, but I don't buy crappy records.

great advice - thanks. I got the 'digital sources' from on-line reviews. I am picking up the cleaning tools you suggested.
I'll take your advice on Analogue Productions - that was the nugget I was looking for.
As I said - some of LP's really do sound great, which keeps the hunt fun.
