I highly recommend the Naim Uniti Nova for your PMC Twenty 5.26. It retails for $7500. It is a streamer, DAC, integrated amp in one single box. Has built-in Tidal, Deezer, Roon apps.
Sounded extraordinary. Not long ago I had a chance to hear the Naim Uniti Nova on a pair of PMC speakers could not remember which model. They sounded superb together.
Naim gears always sounded great on PMC speakers.

The Naim Uniti Nova also has two pairs of analog audio inputs XLR & single-ended. Has various digital inputs : Ethernet to stream Tidal, etc, USB, spdif, Toslink.
The Naim Uniti Nova sounded highly musical, has a kind of rhythmic drive you would normally expect from much more expensive unit. Has great rhythm, pace, speed with superb tonal weight and tonal density. Overall sounded very refined and musical with sweet highs.

Highly recommended!!

I wouldn’t run the nova with these pmcs. I own the 25-23s which I’ve run with a Bryston bp17 cubed pre amp, cyrus mono x200signature power amps, and chord Qutest dac, as well as innuos zenith server. The nova is a let down compared to the drive of my system.

For such fantastic pmcs you need Drive and the best you can get for the cash. I’d be thinking the avm all in ones, or musical fidelity all in ones. The consideration I think you have is that the 25-26 is a far from minimal speaker but you need far from minimal amplification. A one box might not be best but certainly you need to be thinking something a bit better. If I was you I’d be looking at something like a dealer demo unit which might be discounted but more bang for buck. I think for these pmcs you need at least £10k (or whatever in dollars) amplification to get the best from them. That’s why I’d look for a used or dealer demo unit. Tbh if I were you, if you don’t like boxes, put them in a cabinet and get a new pre and maybe used power amp/s and go from there. The 26s are the sort of speaker you don’t really need to change but the worst thing you can do is limit yourself to improving them by buying a one box, where separates would otherwise be better in this improving regard. It depends if you have an eye on future improvements. I would as these pmcs are tremendous.

Yeah, I'm on the path now of looking for a power amp to run them and exactly like you said "put it in a cabinet"... So far I've had some interest in Bryston, Moon and Unison Research. A lot of people are saying Bryston is the best for them.
Thanks for commenting Simon123!

I replaced the Bryston that I had for years with a Musical Fidelity amplifier, and the improvement was amazing. The Bryston was not bad, but the Musical Fidelity amp sound is superb!

I suggest that you consider Musical Fidelity, especially the M6si, which is wonderful-sounding, has enough power to drive 98% of the speakers you can find, and has an excellent phono preamp included to boot. It is only $3000, and sounds as good as units costing 2 ot 3 times as much; an amazing bargain.

Thanks for the replies everyone!
I went with the Unison Research DM 160 power amp and am really pleased with the overall performance.
