I'm a sucker for great 2-way designs...that can also produce a reasonable amount of bass that helps preserve the sense of scale to recorded music. If 40 hz is alive and well this should be a great addition to your line. It looks like the wife/decor factor was kept in mind as well.
Kudos.
Hi, Jim!
Wishing you a Merry Christmas.
Amyway, I'm a sucker for those kind of speakers, as well.
These remind me a little of the Chario Academy 3, only with one less driver.
The Chario:
The Princesses look lovey!
The Chario is a gorgeous model, too ... very fine work. DOn't you just love it when you've got real craftsmen doing proud work at a high level?
Hey Jim,
You'll have to come by in the new year and have a listen to the Princess F/S vs. the InCognito-X!
InCognito-X is a 2-way that will get down into the mid-to-late 20's in the right room.
And of course you'll have to put your ears on the controversial Angelus - a 2-way coaxial that has an F3 at 35 hz.
Chris
Thanks for the invite and I'll be sure to let our forum friends in on the experience. A great way to start out 2007 for sure.
I look for great things in '07 and with the Comtinuum in '06 vinyl certainly was alive and well.
On Mikey's Music Angle website there is a great read on the revival on the EMI pressing plant. Thanks to MF for a great year in vinyl...and a DVD on vinyl to boot. Whood a thunk it?
Buddha,
That is some gorgeous cabinet work. What non-audiophile could not appreciate that? WOW.
Can't wait for the $100,000 DVD/SACD player. With magic footers and all. It will of course use the first Philips 14 bit chip because it was probably the best sounding ever made. It will downsample DSD to 14bit 44.1 sampling. And be a top loader of course. It will have an auto green pen to write on the discs. With a built in demagnetizer. It'll measure like a early Philco AM radio, but it will SOUND marvelous acording to those who know how to listen.
Nice looking speaker. If it can reach 35hz (and below with some attentuation) it will be a very nice addition to the line. All the best.
