That one album I want to catch hold of

Well, you can always find this on ebay, but I just can't justify the price. I'm actually hoping for a good re-press: Transatlanticism by Death Cab for Cutie. Then there is the even more ridiculous Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by the Smashing Pumpkins (there are apparently fakes out there, and the real ones go for hundreds of $$).
I agree about Richard Wright-"Wet Dreams." Such an under appreciated album. It's a crime that it is out of print. Maybe his recent passing will help to draw more attention to it and get it re-released.
If I didn't have it already I would want this:
The Ramones, Road to Ruin album (vinyl), autographed by Joey, Johnny, and DeeDee. I bought it new before their concert in Richmond, VA in 1978. Talked to them briefly, but didn't get drummer Marky's autograph because he was engrossed in talking to someone else. As it happens, the 3 autographs on it are the 3 Ramones who now have passed on.
I would never sell it.
I take that back. If someone offered me a lot for it I would, since I have "digitized" it and can listen to my CD-R. But I do dig it.
The vinyl bug bites hard, Pradeep.
Michael Lavorgna has a copy of Sonic Youth's Experimental, Jet Set, Trash, and No Star on blue vinyl (and I can't believe he hasn't given it to me already because I'm sure he knows how much I want it, dammit).
But I've been lucky. Recently, at the Princeton Record Exchange, I scored two amazing and rare albums -- albums that I thought I'd never see, let alone own: Willie Colon's La Gran Fuga and Markolino Dimond's Brujeria, two salsa classics.
The Holy Grail for me would be an unopened copy of Clear Spot by Captain Beefheart- 1972 Reprise in the clear plastic jacket with "Clear Spot" embossed on the cover flap. Bitchin'.
along the same lines of Richard Wright - Wet Dream
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here 1/2 speed mastered
I would have to say it is the best sounding version of that title I have heard.
