Awesome! Skip the power "purifier" nonsense and just get yourself a suitable power amp. Crown and Bryston make excellent professional grade power amps for reasonable prices. There are other pro-grade amps out there too. You shouldn't need to spend more than maybe $500 for a good amp.

Congratulations on such an outstanding gift! Someone really likes you. Have a look at Audiogon or Audio Advisor to find bargains for the source (e.g. CD player), preamp, and amp you'll need. The Ferrari analogy doesn't work very well. These speakers will knock your socks off with very modest equipment. But don't scrimp. It's damned near impossible to find equipment that these speakers won't play to their fullest potential.
Good suggestions already. Get at least a couple of hundred watts. I second Bryston as a relatively inexpensive way to get the watts that you'll need.
Take really good care of them and you'll be able to upgrade if the bug gets you. If you find yourself not playing them much after a few months, then sell them and upgrade your car.
