Have you thought about going used? You might get the 802D for the same money. I would also look to audition Thiel CS 3.7 or Marten Django XL, both of which are on my target list (used) to upgrade from Thiel CS 7 (itself I believe to be not a million miles from your Transcendence 8's, from a design philosophy perspective).
As you also owned Martin Logan (again, like me), I would also look to audition the Summit or Summit X, just to get a different perspective.
Thiel 3.7 and ML Summit can be found used in the usual places..

I suggest the Vandersteen Treo.

I have had them for a year now, and for $7000 they are IMO a steal.
