New Arrivals at PREX: Noise and Industrial Edition

D.o.A.: The Third and Final Report of Throbbing Gristle—I found this CD at a small shop in Paris, in April 2000, a few months before becoming Stereophile's editorial assistant.

Gah! I’m beginning to dread receiving these awesome updates from the mighty Princeton Record Exchange, simply because I can’t get down there fast enough! And, if I did get down to the store, the amount of money I’d wind up spending would make me sad.

But the records would make me so happy.

Being an addict is difficult.

Smegma, Nurse With Wound, Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV, The Fall… Is it weird that this collection resembles my own?

Store manager Jon Lambert says the records are mostly in very good condition except that some suffer from slight warps. Is it weird that I happen to be currently reviewing the Vinyl Flat record flattener?

What is the universe trying to do to me?

Thanks as always for your re-posts....we love the plugssmiley

So.....does the flattener work, or do we have to wait for the review? ;)

Best,

You'll have to wait for the review for all the sexy stuff, but I'll tell you now that the Vinyl Flat is very fairly priced and works as advertised -- when used as instructed.

P.S. Come visit us soon!

My friends and I are working on scheduling a special Vinylday for that very purpose.

on the Throbbing Gristle cover sure reminds me of my setup at that time (1978) - reel-to-reel and such like ...

Wasn't able to see them in concert till about 5 years later - remember Genesis P-Orridge's stage outfit to create quite some controversy then - harmless from today's perspective.
