Music Recording Software

I want to record a lot of my old 33 rpm LPs onto CDs. I understand that I need some special software for my PC. Does anyone have any recommendations? I just want to make CDs from my records and hopefully be able to clean them up a bit, i.e., take out scratches, etc.

Check out this link for some pretty nice software and some plug ins for LP transfers. I have tried the trial version and sonically it is very, very good.

You will still need a phono preamp to raise the levels and a decent sound card to input the analogue to digital for wav files or conversion to MP3's, what ever floats your boat. If your audio set up has preamp outputs you can use that as well to stream into your computer.

This is another link for some hardware you might check out.
