A moment that is frozen as we hang in time

It’s a beautiful day in NYC: sunny, 80 degrees, with a slight breeze and low humidity—a perfect day for an outdoor concert. Later this afternoon, I’ll head out to Prospect Park in Brooklyn, meet up with Natalie and Nicole—Kristin will be there, too—and enjoy a “Celebrate Brooklyn” event featuring Foster the People, Midnight Magic, and Cut Copy.

Cut Copy is one of the girls’ favorite bands, a band Natalie had requested during my DJ set at her birthday party, so we are sure to have a good time.

There’s something in the air tonight
A feeling that you have that could change your life
There’s something burning up inside
I reach out for you and our hearts collide

Oh, Cut Copy, you’re so silly.

The band is on tour through October and their new album, Zonoscope (Modular People), is available now on CD and LP.

I'm sorry Stephen, but Cut/Copy...well, I can't figure out the appreciation.

That video is the worst thing since John Mayer's bodily wonderland or James Blunt's mewling about a chick he saw on the bus.

I get the cover of the album now, though. That waterfall is made of his tears.

I promise to keep trying. A lady I work with likes Cut/Copy.

Yeah, but those guys were serious.  Cut Copy's just messing around.

The cover is a 90% a copycat of "Flying the Flag" from The Climax Blues Band (1981)

I think it's the same exact artwork -- originally created by Tsunehisa Kimura -- but in Cut Copy's case, seen through a scope.

I guess the new pic is from after the boat went over the falls.

Great catch! I had forgotten all about that Climax Blues Band cover!
