Ok, Hello everyone, new to ya'lls forum and to this vintage receiver stuff. SAE A202 SAE P102 had been driving my Martin Logans The Sequels. loved, loved them, then my roomates JVC AX-1 amp crapped out, did some research thought a Marantz 2270 would be the tank it's known for his system, bought one on Ebay, for grins hooked it up to ML's, to say I was blown away is an understatment, Diana Krall and friends are in the house, LP's get out of here!!! Roomie came home, he plays piano, violin, horns, he goes into the music room, doesn't come out for about an hour, comes out with the biggest shit eat'n grin on his face!! says thank you!! Well I bought another one for myself.
The sound has an around the instuments, harmonics, just so right sound!!
Now to the problem, ML's have a low impedence, can dip below 4ohms at times, the Marantz was not designed for that, I can't play music at the volumes I could with the SAE!! I love my stuff to much to screw it up, can I put the SAE into these jacks? How? to try the SAE as an amp and hopefully keep the beautiful Marantz Preamp sound? And 2nd Q what high output tube amp would ya'll suggest?
Thank You, Peace, Craig
