The transistors should be replaced with the same type/manufacturer transistors and the performance will be the same as always.

Pay extra if you have to to get the EXACT original replacement type rather than some generic relpacement transistor.

Hi guys,
I've accidentally torn away the cable from the speaker (with my leg) while the amp was driving at very loud level. I guess i made short circuit between the plus and minus from the cable and now every time i try to power on the amp the protective circuit shut it down. I don't have official marantz service where i live so i brought it to local unauthorized service. They checked the amp and diagnosed that all output transistors are burned (i think eight). Offered me to replace them with new for around 50$.

My question is: If i replace all of them will i loose the quality of my amp meaning that it will never sing again like before. I was very satisfied with sound marantz produced before.
