Luminance Amps stuff

Me thinks there is some misinformation. Claims of an industry first? For a mere 250V/uS slew rate....check out some AVA stuff Omegastar EX ckts are up around 800V/uS now, from the previous slower 600V/uS www.avahifi.com And all this Mosfet mist blather. AVA uses modern MOSFETS from Exicon more linear, FAST etc. Me thinks did B& K get an AVA amp and decide this is how amp ckts should be done, done right. Why do you review Luminiance, a NEW brand yet continue to ignore a well established 35 year old brand like AVA? AVA is Fast with even better slew rates, and has everything needed for sonic bliss, extremely reliable, superior sonics, fast is putting it mildly. Not limited to just 4 output devices, my AVA/Hafler P500 REBUILDS (latest modern AVA ckts, driver boards etc) are 12 Mosfets on a massive fan cooled heatsink, running in MONO w/ a AVA Ultra phase inverter is cranking around 1200-1400W RMS, not this very restricted mrer few hundred watt things from Luminance. AVA original amps called FetValves 550h etc are a few hundred watt pc sonic masterpieces also, using similar ckts, super FAST, etc. 21st century, stop ignoring AVA, priced for mortals, with sound better than most, for prices based in reality. Like this B&K review mentioned, if AVA was priced like some other lesser performers, with exhorbitant prices like $23K, then it would get a Sterophile look? Be about the BEST, not the most overpriced, please.

If Frank Van Alstine wanted his gear in Stereophile he would be buying page sized ads every month. It does NOT seem like Frank Van Alstine associates read or like Stereophile...they are just like you, anti-Stereophile. And you Carl are CE2 in the thread.

And here is some information regarding why Stereophile hasn't reviewed Van Alstine gear:

And Mr. Carl Engebretsen. You are getting popular! I hope this has a positive effect on your attitude here at Stereophile. Of course, if not then you are going to be known the world over as a DUPe. What we here expect out of you Carl is a more civil discourse with forum members and less advertising for average middle of the road gear like Legacy and Van Alstine. This is Stereophile.

I am NOT ANTI STEREOPHILE, I find it entertaining every month, I read it from begining to end....your perception abilty is as bad as some of your comments. I've learned a lot from it, I discovered many new sellers of stuff I bought. Weighed in with a bunch of my pro audio publications I also read every month. I've been reading it for 30+ years. Whatcha talkin' bout' WILLIS? I is pro Stereophile, if I didn't give a hoot, or found it uninteresting, I'd not be posting anything. Are you DAFT?
