Speakers is the most important component of your system. Once you have on mind the amount you are willing to spend, look around (and don't overloom the used market). Klipsch and Polk have some good offerings, and some crappy product as well (both companies are now owned by either a charter bank or, in casebof Klipsch, by Voxx who are serious about the "bottom line") . Try to visit audio stores that have setups for audition. And take your time!

Not an audiophile but a wanna be. Generally they would ask for your Budget, room size/shape, music taste and any size contraints or limitations. I hope you can get some good feedback... as for me, I just bought some Goldenear Triton 3+ used, and they are great for me. I chose them over some others due to the active sub and folded ribbon tweeter, basically allowed me to get rid of my sub which made the wife happy. For music, they're great and nearly as good for video.
