You need to define what you intend to do much more clearly.

It sounds as if you want audio in 4 different rooms; is that correct?

Do you want stereo, 2 speakers, in each room, or more?

Or do you simply want monaural background music in multiple locations?

It sounds as if this is not a high-fidelity audio system, but more of a Muzak setup.

Before anyone can help you, you need to provide considerable detail.

Understood ... I appreciate your reply. Here is my plan:

I will want "stereo" in 4 different zones of my home:
1 pair in kitchen (in ceiling
1 pair in living room (in ceiling)
1 two way (basically 1 speaker that gives me stereo capability) in bathroom
1 pair on covered patio (bracket mounted Roussounds)

I want to "select" the music I will play from my iPhone and/or iPad via airplay. I will run an audio out from a router to the receiver/amp to provide this capability.

I will have VCs in kitchen, living room, bathroom, and patio.

I don't need to have different sources playing at any given time (ie. my wife's music in master bath and mine in kitchen) ... only one thing playing in one, some, or all rooms - I'm trying to accomplish this by simply having the VCs turned down in the zones I'm not using.

Yes - definitely not a high performance system by any means - but I would like to think it's a bit more than MUZAC! :)

Thanks again!
