I had a quick look into the suggestions of Mr Jackfish:
I think that is a very good piece of advice (I like the idea of a CD player with analog sound feeling!).
Now please don't laugh...

I'm afraid they don't come in black... and my wife will kill me if i take home a brown box that does not match with the forniture...
Check out Energy Speakers e.g RC-70. They do come in black.
Agreed, except for the Tiangles- not a fan at all- too thin IMO. Look at Epos (and they come in black!)
Agreed. The Epos M22i definitely should get a listen as well.
