I suggest that you read the article that Chris Martens wrote for hifiplus.com .

That should give you considerable insight into their performance.

He is a very knowledgeable audio enthusiast.

Thanks for the heads up. There are a couple pair on Ebay right now. I have decided to give the LS50's a shot instead.
