Are you ready to come over for a complete demonstration?
You bet, and I'm only half an hour from you. I drive right by your place on Drummer Lane whenever I visit my friend composer Ed Dzubak. So invite me over already!

Hey. Pick me up on the way.
Kal
What is this thread in reference to? Can we all join or is this for the privileged few?

I posted this as a reply in the Manufacturer's Showcase section, and now it somehow showed up here as a new thread.
Kal, I'll be glad to pick you up on the way over.
Stephen, you can ignore my PM asking what happened to my post in the other section.
--Ethan
So, does that mean we're not invited?
Ask the Kipnis people, Alex. Judging from the post, it seems like they want to give demos.
Can I tag along with you guys? When are you going?
Make sure to report in after the demo!

We do! It sounds like quite a few people are within a close driving distance. So just email me and we'll line you right up a for a complete, hand-tailored demonstration!
You will be totally amazed!

That will be great Jeremy! Did you have in mind for the Stereophile folks to visit at the same time? If so, maybe it's easier to pick a date and time here in the forum? Versus a bunch of emails back and forth. Whatever. Count me in.

Me too. I just sent you guys an e-mail. Disregard it if we're doing this all together.

Let's work on it!
Who would like to join us, and when are you available - either separately or together?
My only limitation is I need to cover the phone weekdays. I imagine others here work too. So early evenings or any time weekends are fine, and I could duck out early on a week night if needed.
--Ethan
Weekends only, for me.
Kal
Hey,
Other than the weekend of May 24th, I'm pretty open, or I can move demonstrations around.
Looking forward to seeing everybody.
How about Saturday June 7th? That takes care of the holidays and the rest of the stuff, where I'm sure everyone's got something going on. I'm game.

Dang, that is the only weekend I can't attend or move my prior commitment. I'm presenting at a meeting of the Connecticut Audio Society that day in Stamford. How about the Saturday after, June 14?
--Ethan
That's no good for me. I have a wedding to go to.
Well, any Saturday but the 7th is good for me, so let's keep trying to find a common date that works for all. How about the 21st, or any other Saturday after the 14th?

The 21st is my grand-daughter's birthday so it can't work for me.
Kal
What about Memorial Day weekend? I sort of assumed that everyone would be too busy, but perhaps we can take one day and take a ride out?
Since this seems to have fizzled here a few of us got together by email. We're going to visit Jeremy's on Sunday June 8 at 3:00 pm. I figured I'd bump this thread to let y'all know, in case anyone else here can make it that day and would like to join us.

As planned, Kal and I visited Jeremy's beautiful home theater yesterday, along with my TV composer friend Ed Dzubak who lives right up the street from Jeremy. I don't have time to write nearly as complete a report as this deserves, but I couldn't not post anything either.
To call this a "home" theater is an understatement, and I'm sure most of you have seen the press photos that have been all over the web. Yes, it looks like that.
The sound was excellent at all volume levels, as you'd expect. As a bass traps pimp I thought more bass trapping was needed. But the room is large and there are so many woofers all around that the response was much more uniform than most HT rooms.
The screen is huge. Really huge. Much more like a real theater than a home theater. I was WAY jealous. And the Sony pro projector is amazing, if too loud. Jeremy's next round of construction will move the projector to a proper booth. Hopefully I can talk Jeremy into at least trying some MondoTraps at the same time.

BLOSE does all that with the 3-2-1 system don't they? No need for big speakers and a room full of components. Don't you read the ads? Full lifelike sound from BLOSE, and that lady heard the sound, and she will never forget it. And the otehr guy says, once you heard teh BLOSE, everything else doesn't meaure up. Why use all this big stuff, with losta watts, lotsa drivers.......

LOL!
Great quick report. It will be fun to learn more.
