July 07' Primare CD31 Review

Maybe I haven't noticed before, but in JA's measurements section, nice comment that this player is just like some of the previous ones from other makers, since the subtle mention hint hint that this one gives good CD performance just like other's recently reviewed. Nagra, Linn, Simaudio...instead of it being another monthly breakthrough which things ain't. Each reviewer writes up the product thaty have as themost unique, outsatnding, breakthrough they ever seen. Enough already with piling on the crapola. If you took 5 high qaulity CD players, you would not find a gnat's ass size difference in the sound qualitys. Everytime a product get's reviewed, or gets a new phono cartridge, it's like the world has now begun to spin on a new axis. Can see an ocasional SURPISE that a mortally priced thing smokes the grossly over priced stuff,(445K 3 piece Cd players, w/obsolete componetage) that would be worth writing in heaps o' praise. But all these products, likely all sound similar, sometimes the verbage heaped on them, about not hearing this or that before, or some pace, tempo BS makes it seem like the earth is on a new rotational axis.

Funny stuff DUP! I got that same rotational axis impression after reading your last few posts!

My cousin Superman could do it...I'm trying. Most of teh magazine reviewers, seem to experience new axis rotation with each thing they try. Just in July issue, about the Krell, after listening 100 times, I never heard this or that!!! Come on already.....next month it will be another tilt in the earth's rotation. How can all these super expensive high end supposedly well designed things all sound so much different to each other, each one is another new world discovered. can they cool they bedazzlement on this stuff? It's like they just got out of using an AM car radio and discovered FM stereo....how can each month be always so so ear opening. Enough. A friggin TT spins records, 20 of em will sound the same, but somehow these ears finds some insane minutia of make beleive, that takes 2 pages to sermonize on. So what happened to the Halcro or that other amp that so opened the world up, what was that one that missed by about 500Watts or so. At least the Krell met published specs, what a concept!!!Oh Chord, wasn't that the 12th wonder in audio right after inventing magnetic tape or teh CD. The Krell is NOT more than enough power for anyone, it's a mere start into reality reproduction. too bad they run hotter than anything in a consumer enviorment should be doing.....hmmm, maybe a design flaw, inadequete heatsinking, use a FAN!!!!
