Jazzfan's Speaker Tuning Devices

We've only been snowed in for less one day and already I'm beginning to go stir crazy. I used the free time to take some pictures of my various speaker tuning devices and I've attached the first one to this post and the others to the post which follow this one (I can't figure out how to attach more than one file at a time). Please take a look at the pictures so that you'll understand my comments below.

Looney Tuning - These devices can be used individually or as a group. I find that they work better when used as a group since when used individually some can make the sound a little hestitant (Porky Pig), a little fast (Road Runner) or lose it's body (Mr. Potato Head). There is one draw back to this arrangement, the sound does tend to be somewhat animated.

Tuning up the Band - Obviously these devices should be used as a group and they work best on jazz and rock music. While the music can sound a little dry, it does have a nice sunny feel to it.

Tuning Crystals - These are the most powerful devices I have ever encountered. Although they may be small in size their ability to focus the sound is uncanny. Use only with extreme caution since the sound can and will become overly brittle and sharp.

Does anyone else have any experience with the outer fringes of tweaking?

Did you try, (was it Arts' or Sams') $1.10 tweak, you know, four quarters on the corners and a dime in the middle? I sure hope the blizzard passes soon.

I think you may have misunderstood me, my speaker tweaks have been in place for quite some time, it was just the blizzard that drove me to post/upload the pictures .

Anyway, here I am dealing with the careful placement of highly specialized music focusing crystals and you're suggesting some nickel and dime tweak Why only recently I managed to complete the "band" by aquiring the long time missing drummer via eBay. Really added some punch and drive to the overall sound. It's kinda funny how a 3 inch figurine can do so much for the sound.

I see you are about as fond of the feather duster as I am. I'll bet that if you really cranked it up, those suckers would dance right off the top of your speakers.
