Hi silvertone.
I don't remember the Follow-Up you've mentioned. I believe the last piece we ran on the Reference 3 was Bob Reina's Follow-Up in June 2007.

JA's currently on vacation, working with Robert Silverman on a Stereophile recording to be released next January, so he might not get back to us on this for a couple of days.

Does anyone know if JA is back from his vacation? I was wondering if he had chance to look into this question.

Thanks

JA is back in the house. I have forwarded your question to him.

I've been trying to find JA's follow-up to the ARC REF 3 review. I thought he was going to write a follow-up on his findings after he inserted it in his reference system, which if I remember correctly consists of Levinsons 33H monoblocks and a 390s....Did this follow-up take place??

My apologies for the tardy response. In the end, I never did a write a follow-up, passing that task on to Bob Reina - see www.stereophile.com/tubepreamps/1206arc/index5.html . I did append a footnote to that report, discussing what I felt to be the Ref.3's major idiosyncrasy.
