Isn't that just basic "sell the sizzle not the steak" marketing as used to sell cars, cosmetics and any number of luxury products?
Just like buying a Harley.
Marketing talk?
Kind of reminds me of another company that builds "furniture grade" speakers.
WTF? I want "Audio Grade" speakers.
Marketing 101 (from a source you may recognize):
"The Legacy Audio
The "corn fields of the Midwest"? No wonder Legacy woofers resemble meadow muffins. DUP, you didn't REALLY fall for this, umm, bullshit, did you? Stubborn Dutchman? Refused, repeatedly, to have his hearing checked, did he? And you FELL for the old "true state-of-the-art high fidelity" line? And "frivolous accessory" avoidance, so they could pawn a captive AC cord off on you as "state of the art"?Awww, DUP. We hardly knew ye. DUP, it's not too late to unload all that crap on Audiogon, and get yourself a REAL rig...
Oh,come one guys. After almost a year here, there are 2 things i agree with Dup.1)Legacy loudspeakers are great and 2)Most "audiophile" music is crap. I do not own any Legacy loudspeaker but i do own a Legacy subwoofer. The "pacemaker".
Compared with my Velodynes(a pair of hgs-18)it is better.
You need a pair to beat the Legacy but then, imagine what a pair of "pacemakers" can do !
