info on rotel amp

Have a chance to buy a rotel believe the model is rb 991 for $400.00 is this a good buy? Thanks, Joan

The Rotel sold for an even $1000.00 back in the mid to late 90's. Here's a link to Rotel's site. Rotel

I've not heard that amp, though I do have several Rotel pieces that I am very pleased with. Can you get an evaluation window allowing a return if it doesn't perform? If not, the question is can you afford to blow $400.00?
