Save longer and buy the speaker you like.
If you settle, it will haunt you and you will end up spending more in the long run.
I've made the same mistake.
I agree with Buddha. I held off until I thought I couldn't anymore, but the wait was well worth it when I got my system finally set up, the way I wanted it. But still, I understand that you want to start listening to music right now. And I don't think you can go wrong with Infinity Primus P162s for $200 a pair. I think they'll keep you happy for a while, until you start itching to upgrade later.
The Infinity Primus P162 for $200/pair delivered will fit your budget and perform better than anything else you will find for that price.
I would also consider the Athena LS-300 for $200/pair plus shipping instead of the LS-100. It is easily more than twice the speaker for twice the price.
