Thank you! One more question... what does it mean by "replaces manual switches?" I imagined that I'd have to flip a switch somewhere - how does this work?
While I'm here, does anybody think this is a bad decision? MMF-5 > Brio > 683s? I'm on a budget and the setup is definitely an improvement on what I've got at the moment as far as receivers go, but if there's another option out there in the price range of the Brio, I'm all ears.
I think the Brio would be a fine choice. I am quite fond of Rega gear myself.

Awesome, man. Thanks a ton for the links.
Wow, ok... so I looked at the manual.
It says that the user supplies a 12volt adapter to a switched AC outlet, which I guess in my case would be a power strip.
In order to connect the wall wart to the control input on the switch, would I have to cut off the jack and manually connect the wires? It seems a bit gnarly to be honest, but that's what it looks like in the manual. Looks like I'm stepping out of my league a bit here, so I just thought I'd double check.
Isn't that a bit dangerous?
I decided to look on the Niles site for more info... this one seems a bit less scary.

Well, there you go then! Good luck!
