"Deck the Halls" vocals recorded by Tom Mudge at Studio M, Minnesota Public Radio, St. Paul, MN, December 16, 2004; "Deck the Halls" 1964 Fender Precision bass guitar recorded using a PJB Bass Briefcase in Brooklyn, NY, July 13, 2005.

Microphones & Preamplifiers: Two DPA 4006 omni mikes, wide-spaced, with Metric Halo ULN2; two DPA 4003 omni mikes on Jecklin Disc, with acoustic equalizers, DPA power supply, & Metric Halo MIO 2882; two DPA 4011 cardioid mikes as ORTF pair with Millennia Media HV3B preamp; two Shure SM-81 cardioid mikes as ORTF pair with Millennia Media HV3B (rear channels, not used in CD mix).
A/D Converters: Metric Halo ULN2 & MIO 2882, two dCS 904s, all operating at 88.2kHz with 24-bit resolution and word-clock–slaved to dCS Verona master clock.
Recorders: A-One Pentium IV PC with RME Digi96/8 Pro soundcard, Apple TiBook, Nagra-D, Tascam DA-38 with PrismSound MR-1024T (rear channels, not used in CD mix).
Session Monitoring: Stax Lambda Pro, Sennheiser HD 580 & HD 600, Sony MDR-7506 headphones, Musical Fidelity X-CansV3 headphone amplifier, Benchmark DAC 1 D/A headphone amplifier, HeadRoom BlockHead headphone amplifier.
Sample-Rate Reduction: dCS 972 format converter.
Equalization & Redithering: DAW programs' native EQ, plus Z-Systems rdp-1 running POWR-2 (Volume One) and POWR-1 (Volume Two) algorithms.
Digital Audio Workstations: Sonic Classic, Bias Peak 4.0, Adobe Audition.
CD Mastering: Sony CD Architect 5.0 running on a PC in conjunction with a Plexstor Premium CD-R burner and PlexTools disc-quality utility.
