Yeah, lets talk about country music! But never "study" these forums. If you have the time to study these forums then you have time to go back and get another degree.
Music, you want MUSIC? Impressive stuff here. www.mattoree.com Order his CD/DVD LIVE it's great. And his previous issues, if you want some wailing incredible guitar.
Alan,
I don't find it strange that there is a lot of discussion about equipment in the forums of a magazine focussed on how to achieve the best reproduced music in the home. The magazine balances coverage between hardware and software and I think the activity on the forums pretty much reflects that balance. There are lots of magazines/forums focused more or exclusively on different types of music where you might find that the balance suits you better. My own personal opinion is that an interest in stereo equipment is perfectly legitimate, I for one love learning about and discussing 'high-end' audio equipment and the technology behind it. However this interest is neither incompatible nor mutually exclusive with my interest in music.
So I second your call for more life in the music sections of the forum, but not at the expense of any of the hardware dicussion. I am going to a hi-fi show on Friday and then next week I have the good fortune to have tickets to see both Coldplay and Stevie Wonder play live. However I don't see how any one of these activities can substitue for the others.
Please don't go back and delete your post. That's not cool, man.
