Help to match Intergrated Amp with B&W 805D4s?

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum and I am looking to match an intergrated amp with the new 805s, and would very much appreciate any suggestions or recommendations.
Budget around US$7500, although prices in Aus is very different.

I have listened with the Naim Atom and Nova and personally, whilst I liked the detail, I found it the sound forward and fatiguing. With the Hegel 390, I found the bass rounder but top end more forward. With the Musical Fidelity M5si, I much preferred this sound as it was rounder and softer yet detailed but less detailed than the Naim. (Apologies if I use the wrong audiophile terminology, I am unfamiliar with these terms but I am only using what I feel best fits with my description of sound)

A few people have recommended the MA252 and MA 352 from McIntosh as they advised that this will soften the diamond tweeter and also bring warmth and extension to the bass. Others have recommended tube amps like Prima Luna, or Luxman, Parasound, Krell and Coda. A lot of these are not available for Demo except Luxman and McIntosh

I have never owned or had any experience with tube amps but an open to any options

Any suggestions, info or advice for a good amp to match my speakers?

Thank you in advance.

ACCUPHASE

Since I traded my McIntosh for an Accuphase I became a real convert. Most true to life sound imaginable.

Living in Australia, you'll have a better access to Accuphase than most. I lnow Brisbane HiFi has them set up for demo. I have e280, the entry-level, and I listened (but couldn't afford) the e480. Cannot recommend enough. Blew my McIntosh MA5300 and Lucman L509 out of the water.

Harbeth Super hl5 plus

I have Harbeth SHL5 plus. I alsi spent some time listening to Sonus Faber Sonnetto V with the same amplifier, and I was quite happy- but Harbeths just realy shine so much with the vocals, and so I ended up going with them. Previously I had a pair of Fical Aria 936 paired with my McIntosh MA5300 and then with Accuphase e-280, but something wasn't working and I felt missing out on the lows. Maybe I just didn't position them properly, not sure....
